Support, understanding, encouragement...

Welcome to our website,
We are here to offer you support for your journey into autism. We are a family of ten with four children on the spectrum, and another with related neurological challenges. For nine years we have been navigating the world of autism - exploring new and alternative treatments, venturing from doctor to doctor, and learning a lot along the way. In the early years we never imagined that autism was soon going to take over our entire lives. Always on the brink of a new discovery, the “cure” has eluded us for a long time now. We are here to save you some time and money by telling you what has and hasn’t worked for us. Although no two children with autism are identical, there are some simple things you can do to help that are appropriate for almost everyone. We also want to offer you our friendship so that you will not feel so alone. Autism is a very isolating disability for the whole family, and we know what it is like to be confined to the house and misunderstood. (It seems like everyone has advice for you on how to raise your child even when they know nothing about autism…) Most of all, we want to assure you that there is a purpose for your journey, and that your special child will teach you more about life than you ever dreamed possible. It is a long road, but there IS light at the end of the tunnel.

Disclaimer: I am not a medical doctor therefore any suggestions on my site should not be considered medical advice. I am simply sharing what I have learned through years of study in the fields of natural medicine and midwifery. I am always open to other opinions and would never tell anyone what they should or shouldn’t do because each person and situation is unique. I believe that we are all our own best physicians and that we should do our own self-study and use our resources wisely to determine the best treatment plans for ourselves and our families as individuals.

“All praise to God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. He is the source of every mercy and the God who comforts us. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When others are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.”
- 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
