Co-Occurring Disorders:
We feel that this is a necessary page since there are so many disorders that occur alongside autism. It is not unusual for a child with autism to exhibit many of the clinical symptoms of other neurologically based disorders as well. In fact, obsessive compulsive disorder runs rampant in our household causing us (and the children) much annoyance and frustration. When some of the other behaviors first surface, parents are probably confused and concerned about what they are seeing. “Is it just another part of their autism coming out, or does my child have a co-occurring disorder?” is a common thought to have.

The answer is very vague, because autism spectrum disorder does include many traits that also apply to other disorders. To know for sure, you would have to go through the checklists yourself and see where your child falls. Does he meet all of the criteria for OCD or Tourettes , or only a portion of it? If there are only a few symptoms here and there, then perhaps it can be covered by the autism diagnosis. After all, most children with autism have some obsessions, and many have motor tics and other issues as well.

Even though the line may be blurry as far as where one label ends and the next one begins, treatment is going to be very similar. The child still needs to be detoxed of vaccines and chemicals. The immune system still needs to be supported, and the myelin repaired (through natural methods) in order to achieve some level of recovery. Behaviorally speaking, your tactics will also be similar since the behaviors are pretty much identical whether they have the other disorder or not. The main distinction can only be made by frequency and severity of symptoms.

For now, we are going to touch on the ones that have impacted us the most as a family. They seem to be the relatively common co-occurring disorders, and so perhaps you will recognize some of the information as applicable to your child. They are…

We want you to know that you are not alone in this battle. You are not crazy, and more importantly your child is not crazy either. These are real disorders despite what some people think, and they are being caused by compulsory vaccination and the horrible side effects that it brings. Please read our vaccine truths page so that you too can start fighting back against the wave of destruction that vaccines are bringing to this country’s most precious resource… our children.
